Posted: 09.09.2015
Bank of Tennessee was recently presented with the American Heart Association Fit Friendly Worksite Gold Level Award for the 2nd year in a row. This award was given to businesses that are making the health and wellness of their employees a priority through the American Heart Association’s My Heart. My Life. initiative. Gold Level Recipients met a standard of criteria including offering employees physical activity support, increase the number of healthy eating options available to employees, promote a culture of wellness, etc.
“It is truly an honor this afternoon to announce that Bank of Tennessee has been recognized as a Fit-Friendly Worksite in the Tri-Cities area. For those of you not familiar with the Fit-Friendly Worksites Recognition program, it is an award given by the American Heart Association’s My Heart. My Life. initiative. It is intended to be a catalyst for positive change in the workplace across America and right here in the Tri-Cities. It recognizes worksites for making the health and wellness of their employees a priority. This is the second year that Bank of Tennessee has been recognized at the Gold level,” said Joette Street, Regional Director for the Greater Southeast Affiliate of the American Heart Association.
