Mortgage Sales Assistant

Location: Nashville, TN-Green Hills

Position: Full Time

General Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting with the day-to-day administration of the assigned Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) and Loan Processor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Properly and professionally communicate with all customers through in person contact, telephone conversations, etc.
  • Copy, scan, and/or distribute necessary documents as requested to clients on behalf of the MLO or Processor
  • Answer calls for MLO and Processor, properly handling the information or passing on any messages
  • Log all incoming phone calls assuring every call is returned by the appropriate person within 24 hours
  • Maintain the general filing system and file all correspondences for the MLO and Processor
  • Enter all key data into the marketing system and database for future marketing needs
  • Be able to answer all general questions such as first payment questions, loan status update requests, etc.
  • Be able to assist the Processor with such tasks as file set up, appraisal orders, title orders, flood orders, etc.) 4506 Mortgagee Clause, and follow-ups
  • Properly facilitate documentation of homeowner’s insurance by contacting the insurance agent, sending Mortgagee Clause, and follow-ups
  • Send all required information into RMS as needed
  • Contact prior clients and related parties to transaction for any post-closing documentation that may be needed
  • Accurately scan and copy all loan documentation for Processor
  • Manage the calendars of the MLO and Processor
  • Schedule loan closings and loan applications for MLO
  • Schedule Fedex pickups, drop offs, and interoffice mail

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience as an office or sales assistant preferred
