Commercial Loan Officer

Location: Bristol, TN

Position: Full Time

General Job Summary:

Prospect, develop, and manager customer relationships. As part of this process, evaluate the credit-worthiness of customers to present for approval for lines of credit, letters of credit, commercial loans, credit cards, or any other bank credit products. Also have a heavy emphasis on gathering Non-Interest Bearing commercial deposits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the continuous total asset growth of their loan portfolio
  • Identify and achieve all production goals
  • Identify and achieve targets for customer calls
  • Coordinate loan closings
  • Conform portfolio to asset quality standards adhering to policy guidelines
  • Comply with all regulatory issues
  • Recognize and refer credit request outside the scope of authority to the appropriate individual
  • Prepare and execute a structured calling program in the respective area focusing on all bank products
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of all bank products to successfully sell cash management solutions to clients
  • Provide corporate services to the professional and commercial arena in respective market
  • Assure all loan documentation is accurate and complete
  • Assure that the total percent of classified loans will not exceed targeted goals
  • Assure past due percentage of total outstanding loans does not exceed targeted goals
  • Assure charge-off percentage of total outstanding loans do not exceed targeted goals
  • Identify and expand on the customer’s “share of wallet”
  • Lead and participate in customer calls
  • Identify and promote deposit relationships to augment their loan relationship
  • Attract deposit relationships, when there are no other relationships with the Bank
  • Participate in civic/community activities

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • B.A. or B.S degree or equivalent from a four year post-secondary education preferred
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of qualifying related experience and/or training required
